Privacy Policy

The short version
PasteDrop collects as little data as possible. No accounts, no tracking pixels. We use minimal functional cookies (password unlock, internal analytics opt-out) but no tracking cookies. We don't sell your data to anyone.
What you paste
Content you drop is stored encrypted-at-rest in a Neon Postgres database. Every drop is automatically deleted after 24 hours. We don't read, index, or analyze your content.
IP addresses
Your IP address is hashed with SHA-256 and a fixed salt, then used for rate limiting and associating drops with their creator (for features like "your other drops"). We never store your IP in plaintext.
No accounts, minimal cookies
PasteDrop doesn't require sign-up. We use minimal functional cookies (password-protected drop unlock, internal analytics opt-out) but no tracking cookies, no local storage for tracking, and no browser fingerprinting.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and collects no personally identifiable information. No third-party trackers, no ad networks, no retargeting.
Third parties
We do not sell, share, or provide your data to third parties. Our infrastructure runs on Vercel and Neon, both of which process data under their own privacy policies.
